Yemi Alade is 28 years old todayAward winning Nigerian afropop singer, Yemi Eberechi Alade, simply known as Yemi Alade, is a year older today.She was born on March 13, 1989 in Abia State to a Yoruba father, James Alade and an Igbo mother, Helen Uzoma, resulting in her being referred to as “Yoruba-Igbo girl”.
The ‘Johnny’ crooner is the fifth out of the seven children in her family.
She attended St Saviour British Primary School, then went on to Victory Grammar School, Lagos, before obtaining a degree in Geography at the University of Lagos State.

She gained prominence after winning the Peak Talent Show in 2009, and is best known for her hit single “Johnny”, which became an international smash hit as it dominated music charts in Tanzania, Kenya, Ghana, South Africa, Liberia, Uganda, Zimbabwe, and the United Kingdom, among others.
Fondly called Mama Africa, Alade has been featured on the covers of several magazines and performed around the world, sharing the stage and songs with Mary J. Blige, Shina Peters, M.I, Wizkid, Becca, May D, Waje and Yemi Sax. She also headlined the Super Diva’s Nite at the 2013 Calabar Festival, and opened for the 2013 Headies Awards (popularly referred to as the “Nigerian Grammys”).

Update! Police recovers more body parts as man caught with a woman's decapitated head and hands takes them to his slaughtering ground (Graphic Photos)

Suspected ritualist, Toafeek Hassan, took policemen to his slaughtering ground where he killed an unidentified woman, whom he claimed was seeking 'spiritual cleansing.' At the slaughtering ground, they discovered other dismembered parts of her body. Hassan, a 60-year-old landlord was  on Sunday  caught with the woman's decapitated head and hands at Ikoga Community in Badagry area of Lagos  on Sunday . Warning!! 2 Nigerians arrested in London for Internet fraud

The suspects Oluwole Oluwanisola, 50, and his brother-in-law Bolarinwa kolawole idowu, 40, will be jailed for 14 years for taking part in a 25 million pound Internet fraud involving victims from 55 countries. The mission of internet fraud and money laundering scams came to an end for two suspected Nigerian men based in London.
